Do you guys know about any international program that would combine learning language (presumably from scratch) and working abroad? I've heard something about program like this in Argentina but I don't know any details though.

I have 3-4 nights in April and I want to spend it at one of these places as a break from the heat of India: >Darjeeling >Dharamsala >Leh I would like to stop there on my way from Delhi to Varanasi, I will be flying to any of the places as I have a short schedule. Where would /trv/ stop?

I've been told numerous times to move out of Switzerland and not in a rude way like 'gtfo and never come back' and more in a sense that I could do much more with my life elsewhere. Anybody got experience with prolonged time spans not home or leaving your home country in general. I'm thinking about saving more money and moving abroad for a year or two and seeing how that plays out. Do you guys have experience with such things? Anything to read up on, besides visas etc.?

Mozambique

Hi /trv/, in February I will go for 10 days to Mozambique for the very first time. I'm looking for any information about the country, as tourism is scarce and few travellers head there. From what I know, February is wet season. I'm planning to stay in the south of the country because in the centre there are politics-related shootings and police escort vehicles.

Getting a job abroad

Hey guys, Frenchy here. Not sure this is the right board but the moment I entered /adv it felt uncanny. I recently graduated with a bachelor degree and I've been looking for an opportunity somewhere else than Europe. For those of you who are expat, live abroad or anything, how'd you find your job/ what function do you have? Since I have little to no experience, looking for an international job just adds challenge. Also, for those of you who live in the USA or Canada, are there websites specifically dedicated to employment for foreigners? My bachelor degree is in management (so I have these marketing/ sales knowledge), I'd consider myself French English bilingual. Any kind of opportunities/ website in north America/ East Asia you guys can think of? Thanks a lot Pic is top of Mt. Fuji

Hey /trv/, important question here. I'm having to travel in the next week or so to go to Australia to be with my boyfriend of 10 years. We've been trying desperately to get a visa to where I can stay with him permanently, but as it stands I am in the US. The only flight that him and I can afford has me going through Doha, Qatar and being stuck there for a 9 hour layover. I'm scared shitless of Islam and Shari'a/Sunni law. Am I going to be thrown out an airport window and stoned to death on the way down? Will I have to pay the duty costs on any of my things if I'm only there to get on a connecting flight? The layover is only 9 hours, but I'm really freaking out.

if I get asked at customs where I'm going to stay, should I tell them I've got an AirBnB booked? Will they be cool with that, considering it's sort of a grey area as far as lodging goes? Would it be better to tell them it's a hotel or a friend I'm staying with, and hope they don't ask for any specifics?

>Australian >Self teaching Russian for the past 2 years (with the help of fluent speakers) >hating my life in Australia >considering studying the Russian language in Moscow for 4 - 8 weeks during 2017 I've found a school I'm interested in, but I thought I'd get some advice from others first. Has anybody studied in Moscow? Is it worth it?

A half month trip in Germany. Need advices

Hi /trv/, I will have a half month trip to Germany next month. First I will arrive in Dresden from Prague and spend 3 days in there. Then I'd like to take flixbus to Berlin and stay in it for 3 days as well. After Berlin I will take a plane or direct train to Nuremberg and have a 3-4 nights in there while taking two day trips to either Wurzburg/Bamberg/Rothenberg. Finally after Nuremberg I will take bus again to Munich and end my trip there after 3 days trip. My questions are: Is there any cheaper or more efficient way to travel through these 4 major cities or simply have a better itinerary in this regard? Question 2: between a day trip to Wurzburg/Bamberg/Rothenberg, which two out of three are more recommended? Since I will only have 3 days to spend in Nuremberg and planning on using a whole day to navigate through Nuremberg I couldn't possibly do all of them. Last question : Any fun place/event or must see in the above mentioned 4 cities? I like historic sites as well as sublime museums while pristine nature are very much welcomed too. Although hip places mainly for youngsters generally aren't much my kind of thing, I still won't say no and like to know the options. In a nutshell, I am very open to much everything if it's good and the recommendations are the more the merrier. Thanks in advance for replies and sorry for my poor spelling and grammar.

Can we have a thread about crazy journeys? I really like the idea of going on some really long or at least weird trip that most people never think of. Panamerican roadtrip, walking Eurasia, or smaller things like pic related, Mauritania Railroad. What truly adventurous shit have you done or what are you planning? Also videos, articles, or picture albums about this kind of thing would be appreciated.

Has anyone been to the Azores? I was thinking of going there for a week in December, on the main Island (starting in Ponta Delgada). How is the weather going to be like around that time? What are things you would recommend doing there? Thanks lads
