I'm interested in crazy out of the way stuff, like nature in the middle of nowhere, strange places nobody's heard of like Turkmenistan or Tajikistan, or West Papua. I kbow Delta might not fly there, but if /trv/ had minimum cash for connecting flights or luxuries, where would you guys go?

my ma's going to have some training in the US from the company she's working for and decided to take me and my father along, we'll be staying at Fairfield, Connecticut for 10 days and will fly there this weekend.
We're from Indonesia and we've never been to the US before and have no idea where to go other than visiting New York and Massachusetts.
Do you guys have any recommendations of nearby places to visit? I kinda like visiting military/science museums or historical places, my ma loves shopping while my dad is interested in badminton.
So far our plan is to visit New York, Quincy Market, and I'm also interested in visiting HP Lovecraft's grave in Providence, RI.
And any do's and don'ts will be highly appreciated, and what's the easy way to get a sim card?
Thanks in advance guys!

Hi guys. I've noticed a lot of threads about people wanting to start fresh and abandon the stagnant life they're living now. I never thought I'd have the opportunity to do so, but I can literally offer one or two of you a chance to do just that, start somewhat fresh.
I work in a university in China near Taiyuan. It's only my second week here but I think that's been enough for me to deem it a decent, if not attractive position. I was hired directly by the university and the man who got me here has become a friend of mine. He wants one or two other foreign teachers but has no idea about making advertisements online, and the recruiter he's been working with seems to be a poor one. So he asked us of we could help him find a teacher and after giving it some thought, I figured I might be able to extend just the opportunity someone on here has been waiting for.
