Quick questions about delayed baggage and the compensation that follows.
I had a flight from somewhere in the US via Miami to Berlin. I had booked with AirBerlin/AA with 1 checked bag. From my initial location to Miami, we were diverted to Palm Beach for 4 hours because of weather. Upon arrival to Miami I had missed my connecting flight to Berlin by 2 hours. Before arriving to Miami someone had already changed my itinerary and I was scheduled to fly from Chicago the following day and then to Berlin. They told me that the airline was not responsible for my accomodation or food that night and I was on my own until the flight to Chicago, which was in 21 hours from then.
Was I entitled to any sort of compensation/vouchers for accomodation and food during my unscheduled stay in Miami?
But it continues. In Chicago my flight was delayed by another 2 hours because of maintenance. Every step along the way I was absolutely assured my bags would arrive on time in Berlin, which they did not. The missing baggage attendant in Berlin was unhelpful and only asked for my address+number and said I would contacted later, which I was not. My bags did not arrive until nearly ~4 days later. I also was not compensated for anything at the time which means I had no clothing or anything to wear, including to a funeral. I had to purchase everything on my own.
Should I have been compensated for the delay in baggage? How do I go about in receiving compensation if so? Everyone I've spoken to said it's not their fault and to ask someone else. Oh and, I paid $50 for a window seat on the Trans-Atlantic flight which I did not get because of rescheduling. The company flat out refused to refund me when I called. I'm seriously starting to get pissed off now. What can I do?

Anyone in Poland, particularly Krakow area who can help me find weed? I just moved here, not holidaying, but I'm posting on here because it seems a suitable forum. I'll be travelling around Kraków, Zakopane and Rzeszow just to get a feel for the area over the next few weeks and was hoping to get a contact before I start working. Kraków seems to me like the best place to look.
I've exhausted all my options and hate to use 4chan as personal army, even in such a small matter, but I'm running out of options. This country just seems devoid of marijuana and I'm about to lose my mind. I can't spend another night drinking vodka, the hangovers kill me.

*Note about the JR Pass*
Many people ask about whether or not the JR Rail Pass is worth it. It depends on your itinerary.
Plug your itinerary into Hyperdia to determine ticket costs, then compare to the below JR Pass options:
>7 day Pass: 29,110¥
>14 day Pass: 46,390¥
>21 day Pass: 59,350¥
Please check the /trv/ sticky before asking questions. It's filled with links to great resources, many of them specific to Japan travel.
