Hey folks. Any recommendations on what to see in southern Utah? I was thinking about going to Arches National Park near Moab, but I've not read many good reviews about it. I'm trying to figure out something since I'll be passing through and have a day or so to screw around and look into things.

Hello /trv/, I am doing a Work and Travel year in Australia and I am going to start in the first or second week of January '14. So my "problem" is that I don't know where to start. I thought about starting in Cairns and then going slowly down to Melbourne and from there somehow to Perth. I want to get the best out of this trip including weather and best season to be there for the different places. So I don't want to be at the East Coast in winter for example. Can you guys give me recommendations when to be where? What's the best season/month to be in place xx?

Hey /trv/ So I'm going down to Houston from Canada ('BERTA) at the end of September for a Geophysical Conference. Just curious what I should see/do when I'm there. Are baseball tickets cheap? Also, any good club/casino/etc recommendations?

I am new here. I plan to go on a vacation. It has been over 18 years since I have had one. I want to go to Jamaica. I want all expenses paid so I don't have to worry about spending more when I am there. What travel agency should I use? When is the best time to go to Jamaica? I'm guessing my budget will be around $2000. Where do I go?

Hi /trv/, I was thinking of heading up to Bruce Peninsula National Park/Tobermory/Manitoulin Island for a week or so on my own to go camping and adventuring before the summer's out. Anyone been up there, or have any general tips for camping in North-ish Ontario? I've gone camping several times in Algonquin and the like but this will be my first solo trip, so any advice is welcome. I'm taking a bus up there and will just have my travel backpack with me.

>dream of working and living abroad my whole life >plan on teaching English abroad for a couple years to pay off loans, then grad school for International Relations >finally achieve teaching job >arrive >get sick for a week, after recovery bike tire flattens and bike shops are closed for four day holiday >feeling no chemistry with other foreigners here, suspect they actively dislike me >not making native friends >most days go to work, do nothing, go home I had better days as a temporary six month NEET at home...and I should be happy! I'm on the road to my dream! Any advice /adv/?

Thinking about going to France or Italy or croatia with 3 friends in september (for 9days). We'll go by car, starting from Holland. We're all 21 years old, don't have any big money and we want to do some (illegal) camping or hostels. I would prefer going to some nice little cities, where we can just chill out in the park if we feel like doing nothing. We aren't party animals, so only going to the mediterranean sea and hang out on the beach is out of the question. Budget is about 350euros per person So where could we go? Any places we should definitely visit?

TESOL/TEFL Questions

So I'm finishing my degree here in the US and enjoy traveling so I'm interested in the TEFL/TESOL certification. My main questions are the following: what is the difference between the two, how do each of these function, and what is the preferred one particularly in Asia and Latin America?

I'm looking to go backpacking with some friends for a couple of days but I have no idea what kind of gear I should get. I know I need a backpack and a hammock, but I'm lost as to what I should buy. Any suggestions would be really helpful.

America is going to shit and im getting the fuck out of here. im thinking new Zealand. no bad gun laws yeah weed is illegal but apparently hardly regulated. for example weed is illegal but they put pot vending machines in a club and the authorities warned them to take it out instead of arresting or prosecuting anyone. the land is cheap and the people seem pretty friendly. kinda ugly though. and Samoan girls look like dudes. but that's cool cause im all about white girls. pretty much im just trying to get some feedback on how new Zealand is and if its welcoming to americans that aren't loud obnoxious shitheads. I don't have any pics on my computer that aren't porn except this one.
