Planning a 2-4 months backpacking/camping/hitchhiking trip across Central and Eastern Europe this summer. I don't wanna take too much electronics with me, yet I'd like to have my phone (Nexus 4) just for the occasional pic, emergency call etc.
I've been looking for some hours at different solar-powered chargers but I don't understand shit, could you guys help me? What power/amperage should I look for, size (?), how fast do they charge, is there a big (if any) difference between shit chinese ebay chargers and more expensive ones? Any other tips or past experience with them are more than welcome.
tl;dr thread about portable solar chargers.
Road trip to Croatia

Me and my friends are planning a road trip from Poland to Northern Croatia. We’ll be traveling through Slovakia and Hungary, though it's a subject to change. I was hoping you guys could point me to some interesting places that are on the way. We’d prefer to avoid highways, take our time, and find some nice place to sleep half-way, same on the way back.
We’ll probably somewhere around Crikvenica. We plan to stay there for 1 week, with 3 days being ‘lazy days’ and 4 days sightseeing. I was thinking we should see Plitvice Lakes, Krk island (Vrbnik), and Rijeka. Are there any other places that are must-see? I’ve heard you can go on a cruise to Venice from somewhere close, and it seems neat.
To sum it up:
>what is worth seeing on Poland-Croatia trip (pic related)
>is there any interesting place around half-way where we could stay for the night
>what are must-see or uncommon places in northern Croatia

Just booked to go to Amsterdam with my gf in march.
I've been before but pretty much stayed in the centre, walked everywhere, and the furthest we traveled was to vondelpark.
We're looking for hotels to stay in, however a few that looked reasonably priced are a bit far from the centre.
What's the transport like in Amsterdam?
We're looking to travel as economically possible, so would we be able to afford to use the tram on a daily basis without breaking the bank, mind you we're there for 4 days.
