> thinking space travel won't be a commercial possibility for an affordable price within 20 years

Do you even reality?

That's what people thought 40 years ago.

Am I the only one here who would want to visit every place in the world but has absolutely no interest in space travel?

I dream of travel all the time, I don't think there's a day I don't think about it but I have never ever been interested in traveling to space.

Even if I got the chance in this lifetime I don't think I would. I would really want to, and how fucking cool would it be to be one of the first Mars pioneers, but every time I think about leaving Earth I get extremely sad. Imagine looking at a forest for a last time. Sitting in a garden for the last time. Hell, sitting on a subway for the last time. I get sad just thinking about how much I would miss it

I think it'd be amazing to visit another planet, or even the moon, for that matter. But that's a distant possibility, and one that may never be affordable or feasible in my lifetime. It'd be awe-inspiring to stand on the surface of a place seen for thousands of years only as a floating orb or distant ball of light, but certainly not in the same way it was to see the Hagia Sophia and Taj Mahal.

Space would be amazing. I'd love to go, if given the opportunity, and provided that I could come back in mostly one piece. But for now, I'm perfectly content seeing whatever fractions of the world I can manage to drag myself to and across. Maybe our particular floating rock pales in comparison to a galaxy light-years across, flying its way through an immeasurably large university, but hey - no matter how much or how little life may be living away from our Earth, we're the only conscious motes we've yet to find. I'm okay trying to see as much of that as I can, for as long as I can.

Considering that the current price to go into space commercially is set at $100.000, and this is relatively less than flying once cost. Nowadays I can fly across Europe for €20. Add to that the fact that the current 20 year olds will grow far older than is the current lifespan. I'd be willing to bet you all the money I have that I will get into space in my lifetime.

If you don't think you can make it into space you're probably poor or old.

My bad, in my country we use different interpunction with numbers. $100,000 would be the American way.
