/tv/ I want to think this board is readier for this kind of question than /g/
I'm trying to sync to different audio tracks of the film Entre les murs. I've got the original one in French with English subtitles but I saw the film in dubbed in Spanish for the first time and I sort of relate those voice to the film more than the real ones so I'd like to keep both things in one file using the HD rip for the video and the DVD for the Spanish audio. I'm using mkvmerge and VLC.
The problem is that the tracks are not synced. I've used VLC to delay the audio to get an idea of how much I should delay the track in the muxing without having to do it every time as it takes 5 minutes and I would have to do it many, many times till I get it right. The more I try to sync it, the more I fuck it up. E.g. I delay the track, then it's too much so i hasten it a bit and VLC adds the difference to the previous delay. It fucks up all the time. Also, if I do more than a couple of tweaks it just wont sound at all.
