so /v/ tell me,
why most people are anal about aspects other than gameplay.
If the gameplay is really good,it should net about 8-10 review score? right?
Why should Story, Graphics, Sound, Voice Acting, Music matter?

I'm about 8 hours in (about to do Colliseum) and so far I've felt somehow disappointed with the game. I was expecting 'Kingdom Hearts: Bigger levels and more stuff to do' and instead I got 'Kingdom Hearts: Generic JRPG edition'.
My biggest complaint would probably go towards the atmosphere which suffered severe downgrade from the previous title. The lack of details (no animations when leaving zones or opening door), the stupidly exaggerated gestures (when opening chest Sora throws the keyblade into air, catches it and then opens the chest; when unlocking new worlds, Sora, instead of just pointing the keyblade at the keyhole (which looks much better as it has this sense of heroism), now has to throw the sword in the air five times, do five spins and a backflip), music and sounds don't feel as good, the great mana system from KH is gone and instead we've got a generic mana pool which can't be even replenished by attacking enemies and you've got to wait.
Everyone's now wearing black (Yuffie got a fucking zipper going from her cunt to her asshole, what the fuck?).
The first 3 hours in the Twilight Town or whatnot were atrocious, combat doesn't flow as well without a dodge roll or anything similar (no way of dodging attacks and since attacking literally glues you to one spot it just feels slow and choppy).
Now the complexity. Oh god, oh god, while Kingdom Hearts had quite simple yet very solid gameplay desing, KH2 went full retarded with complexity. The gummi ships now require a whole instruction manual and the minigame itself sucks ass, the menu system went from great to 'what, why, where?' and the worst offenders are drive and limit. So far I probably shouldn't judge those but while I couldn't even get limit to work 3 maps after I've got it (not sure about it), drive's one of the worst videogame gameplay mechanics ever. Due to the way it works you'll want to keep it for bigger battles yet without using it you won't level it up
