It's actually very similar to the Grigori fight, but I think he gets a new move or two and like the other guy said he has a bunch of hearts instead of one.
Also the boss fight is on a time limit, but don't worry.
When he flies away and actually disappears you can just come back and continue from where the battle left off.
Take advantage of that time to change vocations or skills if you don't feel effective enough and make sure to restock on healing items and shit.

Loot from Urdy comes in two forms
Drops from the body and rewards spawned upon death.

Each time you kill a heart he'll drop some loot like claws or even blood.
When you kill him your rewards will spawn on the ground in a room inside the map.

In both cases the loot is random with the exception of 20 wake stones which you will always receive for killing him.

Generally, when you have two that make them focus on something, like Scather is the big guys and challenger the ranged/magic, they make the AI on your Pawn a little wonky. They usually end up dinking about for a bit before the AI finally decides to act on one inclination. Thanks to some advice from some of the more experienced players, I've found that your Pawns behave much much smoother when they only have one of those three inclinations (scather, Challenger, Mitigator) and the other being anything else that isn't Nexus or Guardian. I prefer Acquisitor or Pioneer.

There's no reason at all, since a lot of augments from certain vocations are excellent for general usage, or for other vocations specifically. For example, the Articulacy augment from the Sorcerer vocation is good for ALL spellcasting vocations, including Mystic Knight and Magick Archer, while other augments like Clout (+20% strength) are good for any physical attacker at all.

Alright she's now a Scather/Acqusitor Ranger.

She's using Hundred Kisses, Dazzle Blast, and Advanced Trigger for her daggers

Reaper's Arrow, Spiral Arrow, and Tenfold for her bow.

What do you think of the skills?

Also are pawns able to utilize Reaper's Arrow?
It requires precise timing to make the best use of it, but it still grants a third charge for more damage.

Change that Acquisitor to Mitigator or Challenger and you'll be golden. Ditch Dazzle Blast, pawns LOVE LOVE LOVE spamming that on things like Living Armour (which does absolutely NOTHING)
Pawn's cannot into Reaper's Arrow correctly so downgrade that to Deathly
I will personally suck your cock if you can get your pawn to use Spiral/Corkscrew Arrow correctly though, I can NEVER seem to get Red to use it right.

Well Dazzle is better than cutting wind and the other one.
Plus it helps against most of the stuff in BBI like eliminators I think.
I may be wrong though.

Also this will be the first time giving her Spiral so i've yet to see her play with it.
Also she's using a gold forged Revenant Wail in a brand new NG+, so she's one shotting everything anyway.
I'll have to face stronger enemies before i am able to see how she handles it.

I'm not sure i want her to have mitigator though.
I'd rather she uses her powerful skills to attack strong things.

>Well Dazzle is better than cutting wind and the other one.
>Plus it helps against most of the stuff in BBI like eliminators I think.
>I may be wrong though.
Yeah, definitely wrong. Most of the things that pawns prefer using Dazzle Blast on are the kinds of things that completely ignore the stunning effect of the skill, meaning your pawn will just be wasting stamina. Most of the things they SHOULD use Dazzle Blast on (such as goblin shamans, skeleton sorcs and gold/silver skeletons) they just burst down with a Tenfold or two, so it's pointless either way.

>Also this will be the first time giving her Spiral so i've yet to see her play with it.
Pawns are very finnicky when it comes to Spiral/Corkscrew Arrow. They know how to use it, but the skill itself may be bugged as it sometimes passes straight through an enemy after striking them once.

>I'm not sure i want her to have mitigator though.
>I'd rather she uses her powerful skills to attack strong things.
Mitigator on Rangers is nice because of their colossal range and power - with Mitigator they can eliminate the annoyances (such as smaller saurians or goblins or whatever) while letting you hold the attention of the bigger threats like the Gorechimera circling around you, hungry for blood. Alternatively, Challenger is great because it takes advantage of the Ranger's...uh, range, and makes them focus on the spellcasters before anything else.

I personally alternate between Scather/Challenger and Scather/Mitigator, it works pretty well for me. Also, one last thing you should know: you don't NEED to have 3 Dagger skills on your Rangers. They can usually get by with just Hundred/Thousand Kisses and Cutting/Shearing Wind, or even just Shearing Wind on its own.

You could probably make that much off selling 4-5 Dragon Forged weapon level 3's. Given how often Cursed Dragons Dragonforge shit, you can just farm them at Duskmoon tower with a single Rancid Bait meat. I recommend doing the Red vocation items, they seem to be worth the most.

Why is Ranger so shit compared to Magick Archer?

I've leveled Warrior -> Fighter -> Assassin -> Ranger then Magick Archer so needless to say I had shitall Magic and assloads of Strength. And even so, Magick Archer absolutely wrecks in damage compared to Ranger. I'm not even going to bother mentioning the skills of MA which are fucking ridiculous. Ricochet Hunter is stupidily good, 2 or 3 in worst case are enough to take down an Eliminator, Sixfold Blow is great for targetting specific body parts and you have at least 4-5 other skills you can use as a third for party support.

Meanwhile Ranger has... Tenfold Flurry which you can use to apply debilitations faster, I guess.

What am I missing here?

So I just started up, and got some quests in witchwood, but among some band of bandits there is one guy with a horned helm who is the fucking chosen one. All the others are on par with what you would expect, but he just shakes off everything I throw at him, he held off my entire party until he got to half health, then just ran off up the hill. It takes about three hits from him to drop anyone in my party, and it feels like he has to be at least a dozen levels above his bandit comrades. What is this guy's weakness, because he is shrugging off fireballs and lighting bolts like it fucking tickles. Normally I would chalk it up to it just being a challenging encounter, but it's ONLY him, the others are easy by comparison, doing normal amounts of damage and when they light on fire they feel it, this guy spent the entire encounter ablaze, just running around hacking my pawns up like he didn't even feel it.

Holy shit, just point him towards the dragon, they don't even need me by the looks of it.

Magick Archer is just plain broken, to be honest. Ninefold Bolt deals hilarious amounts of damage and Ricochet Hunter is broken due to the "bounce off an object increases damage" mechanic it has. Combining Flameshroud with Thousand Kisses turns you into a fiery whirlwind of death and destruction.

Ranger however has the advantage of massive, MASSIVE single-shot damage via just-released Reaper's Blast Arrow along with consistently high stagger/knockback damage and the ability to hit weak points regardless of where they are.

I just ran into my first chimera running around at night and thought I was screwed (I'm about level 30). It was a lot easier to kill that chimera than your average bandit camp.

Bandits have consistently given me trouble throughout the game. It seems like no matter how powerful I get, a bandit camp can still stunlock my entire party with their 360 degree two-hander swings and their striders running around with hundred kisses and their rangers using full bend or whatever the fuck its called.

I've died to bandits way more than I've died to anything else, without a doubt.

>>55587169
I'm pretty sure he's just the "commander" type unit. Every bandit party seems to have one unit that is stronger than the others. As I recall the bandits you're fighting are all worth about 130xp, whereas the "commander" is worth about 430 or so. That puts him on around the same xp value as a Saurian, which I started being able to kill confidently around level 15 I think, so I'd assume that bandit guy is about level 15.

This is the undeniable truth for so many of us, myself included.

Don't forget that human foes use Advanced vocations unlike any other enemy in the game, so they'll hit harder with more deadly skills.

Pick whichever fits your play style more.
MK is more melee focused
MA is more ranged focused

Attack it and when it retreats you leave, rest a few days and return unless you're in NG+ which you just enter and exit the rift and he respawns.

Online is near invincible on 360. Unsure about the PS3 but he's pretty far up there.

You won't do any damage to the Online unless you're a lvl 200 stacking perries and have an entire party of 200s stacking perries as well.

Farming the offline is easy and worth it just for the Wakestone drops and guaranteed DFing, otherwise slay him once and move on.

Ok so I bought DD when it first came out (even played the "demo" before), was hyped as fuck but as with many games I just dropped it after 5 or so hours. I almost always play mage but here I think that's what made the game dull, because you don't really use the mechanics such as climbing chimeras/ogres with a mage.

Anyway, I want to get back to it, and I think I'll get the new game/extension as well. What class is the most fun? Fighter I guess, based on what I said, or are mages and archers funnier once you get more powerfull and climbing monsters is not a thing any more?

Sorcerer let's you cast down meteors on monsters as well as use whips of lightning and summon spikes of ice. But you have to stay a little ways back while casting so you will never climb. It's not for everyone though, I like climbing monsters too and find assassin the most fun because they can use daggers, swords, bows and shields so there's some variety to them.

Pic related.

It's actually hard to accurately do a Dante gameplay-wise since the warrior class is really slow and more about gradually building momentum between attacks rather than going completely crazy. As for specific builds that depends on if you're working on your pawn or your arisen. I don't think we have any character build templates laying around but we're here to give advice if you need it. There's really not much to really "build" though, most of it is self explanatory or easy to figure out.

1. Ignore eliminators
2. Get to the rooftops
3. Do some parkour and reach the dragons
4. Swat them out of the sky
5. kill dragons
6. Return to ground level
7. Cut loose on the eliminators (they're some of the easiest enemies in the game as a warrior)

You gotta think outside the box sometimes. The city is pretty big (by DD standards), use the terrain to your advantage and engage enemies in a logical order instead of fighting them as you encounter them.

You have a good couple minutes before pawns get rifted after dying. People really underestimate how long you can leave them behind while you take down the tougher enemies. Just YOLO it and solo the dragons, then go back for your pawns. If it's taking you an extra long time to kill the dragons then go back and revive but you should only need to revive them maybe once during the entire battle before the dragons are dead.

This is assuming you're high enough level with good enough gear to solo the two dragons, but the ones in the city are the weakest in BBI once you get them on the ground and in melee range.

I'm just barely breaking into the endgame and BBI so I don't know a ton, but once you get them up to 3 stars they gain the ability to poison and topor enemies which apparently is crazy good against certain bosses.

I had managed to get a rusted shield to 3 stars and it totally saved me when I was going through to kill that locked up gorecyclops for the first time.

As I was killing the mages up on the higher floors some crazy undead dragon spawned and in the craziness of the fight the gorecylops got loose somehow so I had to fight them both at once. Putting topor on the cyclops made it significantly easier to avoid his crap while working on the dragon.
