Why does /vp/ hate the idea of a hoenn remake so much?
The basic infrastructure of the game is pretty darn solid, and the remake could give the chance for the weaker points of hoenn to be improved on, like the trumpets, adding more mini-island stops during the water routes to make it feel more like an archipelago, improving the small extra areas (Dive locations lacked diversity, shoal cave i didn't know about until like two years ago, desert is too tiny, rainforest doesn't feel much like a forest) and increase pokemon diversity (zigzagoon and poocheyenas fucking everywhere man), it has some good potential, why does half of /vp/ seem so adamantly against it.

ITT: We invent signature moves/abilities to turn shit Pokemon into something usable.
Flower Bed: (Grass, Status) Bellosom springs to life a bed of flowers under the opponents feet. The next Pokemon to switch in becomes Drowsy and loses 13% of their HP.
Leech Plants (Grass/Status): (Similar idea) Carnivine leaves a host of parasitic plants. Pokemon that switch in lose 1/16th of their health and the Pokemon on your side of the field gain the amount lost. (same as leech seed)
Plusle: (Volt Shock, ability) Opponent Pokemon loses 50hp when Plusle switches out.
Minun: (Jolt Shock, ability) Opponent Pokemon loses 50hp when Minun switch in.

Girafarig: (Double Heads, ability) The base power of attacking moves is halved, but the move is used twice.
Vespequen: (Bodyguards, ability) Vespequen enters the battlefield with a substitute, but still stays at the same health (the substitue takes hazard damage for her, though)

Shiftry: (Forgery, ability): Shiftry gains effects from its items as if it is holding two of them.
