Choice everywhere. If you think choice items are overused now (I do but only because I like variation) with this system practically every mon will run choice scarf and band/specs or life orb and leftovers. You could do some funish stuff like choice band/specs on a split attack mon but...I dunno. Maybe you'd get some fun combos.

I think the same pokemon/people who run choice now would run choice with this regardless.

The lelftovers+life orb combo would be popular though. Though you can fix that by not changing berries in the slightest (1 slot, same effect as now).

That's stupid. There would be no point in almost all the items that exist. Items that can't be halved would grow in usage, and items that were already low increases would cease to exist.

did you not pay attention? items effect would be half

that means that running poison heal with leftovers would equal to the current heal rate, if you only run toxic orb it would heal you by half than it currently does, you'll need two healing items to get back to what it is now

Not much would change about the stupidity. Choice will only give 1.25X anything, which isn't helping anything with under 280 speed very much. Damage won't be useful, unless the movepool gets bumped to 2, and only 1 if using two choice items. In which case it would be drastically over-powered paired with life orb/Expert belt. (Greninja now beats almost all of ORAS OU, including Mega-Mence and Mega-XMas tree, just as an example)
Life orb = 1.15 damage isn't worth taking damage for since you can get nearly the same boost from expert belt (5% difference)
Leftovers healing 1/32 hp is complete garbage now. Threatening with a flame orb or Assault vest seems like it would be far more useful than healing a tiny bit or doing 15% extra damage when a burn effectively halves a foes' damage.

Only so many things would benefit from this. Those that don't will suffer infinitely.

No, Poison heal is an ability, and thus, heals as much as it would regardless of item power. Leftovers would add almost enough for an everlasting Gliscor.
Since, apparently, items that can't be halved (toxic orb) take 2 slots, the whole thing is moot.

Assault vest would become 25% more spd, flame orb will take two slots because you cannot halve its effects.

Knock off would only take out one item each use. Which would actually take away a lot of the power from knock off (you'd need to use it two times to remove a double-effect).

Which is why you just go with 2 leftovers for the current effect if that's what you want.

The damage you would receive from one life orb would be halved as well. So if your opinion is that expert belt > life orb, that would apply with the current ruleset as well, because effectively nothing changes when you compare both items.

This system does not ruin anything. If you want to use anything that works now, you just double up on it for the same effect it has now. It simply gives more options to other pokemon, while nerfing the overpowered knock-off.

I'm fine with it, providing knock off takes into account both items in damage boosts, and mega items should be knockoffable from the beginning anyways, but Gamefreak feels so adamant about protecting their special snowflake digimon.
