McKamey Manor Thread - The Crux.
We need to decide, whether or not this place is truly as diabolical as we believe.

The overwhelming perspective is an empathetic one. People view the videos like the Marine/Thrillseeker and they see the amount of pain the Adrenaline Junkie especially had to endure, it raises questions and emotions. It makes it hard to denote the truth, because there is a very large shroud of secrecy. They have made it out to be something that changes every time, a special custom experience for each user. It begs the question that if that is true, then how would telling us the details be ruining it for anyone? If every experience is actually different.
Remember we are in October right now and this is a year round "haunt". People who are being recruited to visit this haunt during the year outside of October will be surrounded with much less media coverage since Halloween is when this type of thing gets coverage at all.
Why hasn't a single "survivor" come forth with a full explanation of their experience, the only reasonable answer for that is beyond the "Keeping a surprise" threshold. It must be a detailed NDA that has legally bound them to keep their mouths shut.
It is very easy to manipulate a broken and tortured individual. Physical/Psychological degradation and humiliation are both pivotal in the Paradigms of Cognitive Dissonance and Social Engineering thus can can be exploited.
There are so many variables, so many factors to take into consideration. I don't believe it's appropriate for us to give him the benefit of the doubt because has given us absolutely no real reason to do so. If he gave us a reason to believe him we would, but as of right now all we are able to see is unprecedented secrecy.
We now have a Senior Investigative Journalist involved, he has a huge track record of exposing secret illegal activities, and he is very interested in this story.

All right. So, according to Agrippa, the occult properties of certain things are tied to ideas. As in, in Plato's theory of ideas, ideas aren't mere mental concepts but universal ones. This is an interesting theory with much merits, though not many useful applications.
What is interesting though is that he theorizes that the occult properties of one thing can be transferred to another through proximity. Though there is some truth to it, he pushes that claim pretty far, going so far as to say that because a bear is strong, drinking a bear's blood would make a man strong. If ideas do exist, there must be a way to manipulate them, but I fail to see why Agrippa believes that such simple operations would function.

Mine: the Universe looks like pic related. The earth is flat and is surrounded by a solid dome. The stars are either implanted on the inner side of this dome or they are holes through which light from a higher world flows through. The sky is relatively close to us. The stars are relatively close; much, much closer than is imagined. The sun is smaller than the earth, fairly close, and probably is not a ball of burning gas.
If you've ever seen the film "The Truman Show", our world is the arena that Truman lives in. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Truman in that film represents a human being, the fakers in his life represent demons deluding him, the woman that he falls in love with and causes him to realize that he lives in an illusion represents his guardian angel.
