Can we get a spooky/creepy/paranormal military stories thread going? I'll start. >Be me, translator with the US Air Force in Iraq, specifically Kurdistan. >On a tiny Army outpost, only American that speaks Kurdi fluently. >Boring translation work, next to no combat anywhere near where I'm stationed. >Get pretty close with local militia guys (one even tries to wed me to his 13 year old daughter) >They tell me stories of they're lives, mostly about fighting Saddam. >One night, we were going to a nearby village and stopped for the night. >To pass the time, we told scary stories. >I told "Tailiepo", I think. >Everyone tells pretty decent stories, but nothing 2spooky4me. >Until the last guy, who tells a story of some militiamen who went out to the desert to only to return demented ghouls. >His descriptions were gruesome, men who looked like corpses, twisted out of shape, filled with shrapnel, riddled with bullet holes, faces melted from fires. >But the very worst part, he said, was that they spoke with what I can only translate as "insidious demon voices". >This shook me a bit, as the stories told before were ancient folk tales. This was modern, recent, within living memory. >So I did what cocky America military men do when they are frightened; laugh it off. >I told him it was the scariest story of the night by far, and very nearly spooked me. >No one else laughed, they looked at me sadly, silently, almost guiltily. >Finally the story teller told me the words that haunt me to this day. >"Lieutenant, this was not a story." cont.

So I live in mountains in Colorado, me and buddy were strolling through a large park with a creek and some fields when we noticed a chainsaw start in the distance. Naturally since it was well past 12 we decided to investigate. As we approached the back of the house from the edge of the farthest field the chainsaw stopped. Needless to say we were a little spooked, however the ground is covered in snow and it was 20° so who could blame a man for wanting to maintain a roaring fire. Here's the kicker house doesn't have a chimney. So we smoke a little weed and circumnavigate to the front of the house via back streets. We heard a scream from the interior, way too baked, way too sketchy. We left almost immediately but not before I snapped some pictures. I have not edited these pictures in any way and I can't really explain the crazy grain and colors. It was rather dark and the house was dimly lit with red lanterns but what do you guys think?

>largest pyramids on Earth >date back 29,000 years >cement which was used to create slabs is of better quality than modern highest quality cement >scientists say it's of natural origin >European Association of Archaeologists calls pyramid hypotesis a cruel hoax Video of an Archeologist at the dig site: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CS8ugCg_vs Why are scientists trying to cover this up? Who build the pyramids? What happened to that civilization?

Any of you have any skeptic turned believer stories? Like, at one point were you ever a strict non-believer of the paranormal but something happened to convince you? If so what happened?

Recently I've begun the process of decalcifying my pineal gland and without a way to filter water for the next few weeks I'm resorting to bottled water. I've noticed there's a lot of chlorides and fluorides added to some brands for "flavor" and I'm curious if there are any brands out there safe for consumption? General third-eye third, I guess

Can someone please tell me the (possible) meaning behind this logo? And what it's called? >the band Dååth uses it on their album "Dååth" All I find is the thing about the Ouroboros, but that's a snake, which eats itself.

Ok, /x/, I have a question. What is the scariest thing you've ever found on the internet (youtube, /x/, whatever) that IS NOT deep web/illegal? Can be a video, story, blog, anything.

The Pusher - wtfbong

http://rt.com/uk/222655-serial-killer-manchester-canals/ Alarm is rising among Manchester citizens that a predatory serial killer could be roaming the city’s streets. Some 60 corpses have been hauled from local waterways in the past six years. Rumors of an unhinged murderer dubbed the Pusher, who supposedly prowls the city’s waterways, have gathered momentum in recent years. Locals remain divided on the theory. Some dismiss the claims as mere urban legend while others are concerned that a serial killer, who allegedly hurls his unsuspecting victims into the city’s murky canals, actually exists. Between August 2010 and August 2012, a third of all deaths in UK waterways occurred in the vicinity of Greater Manchester. In addition to the 60 bodies found in Manchester canals since 2008, a further 20 were discovered in local rivers. Head of psychology at Birmingham City University, Craig Jackson, said he has seen freedom of information requests probing the deaths. The requests, which were sent to sent to Greater Manchester Police by the Daily Star, asked for details about the scores of bodies found in Manchester’s canals. Jackson said the number of people who had been found in Manchester waterways was disturbing. “I’m certainly keeping an open mind as to what’s been happening. I can’t disprove a serial killer,” he said [ ] Not spooked [x] sp00ked

Do we all see colors the same or do they appear differently to others and we're just trained to call different things by the same name?

I check into small hotel a few kilometers from Kiev. It is late. I am tired. I tell woman at desk I want a room. She tells me room number and give key. "But one more thing comrade; there is one room without number and always lock. Don't even peek in there." I take key and go to room to sleep. Night comes and I hear trickling of water. It comes from the room across. I cannot sleep so I open door. It is coming from room with no number. I pound on door. No response. I look in keyhole. I see nothing except red. Water still trickling. I go down to front desk to complain. "By the way who is in that room?" She look at me and begin to tell story. There was woman in there. Murdered by her husband. Skin all white, except her eyes, which were red. I tell her I don't give a shit. Stop the water trickling or give me refund. She gave me 100 ruble credit and free breakfast. Such is life in Moscow.
