Do you guys remember that scene in constantine where Keanu Reeves says cats exist half in our world and half in hell? As though a creature can evolve (or for our christian friends was intelligently designed by god) to exist simultaneously in what we perceive and it realms beyond or perception.

So I come to you to ask what is the truth behind cats? They have been involved with humans for nearly 10,000 years. The ancient egyptions considered them sacred. The Japanese associated them with spirits of fortune and luck. Even the prophet mohammad had a favorite cat and "He is reported to have loved cats so much that "he would do without his cloak rather than disturb one that was sleeping on it." The norse god Frayja kept cats. During the dark ages cats were often feared as bad omens, even killed such as in the yves cat festival.

So with this long history what is the truth behind cats?

Anonymous 2012-12-31 01:52:07 No.11712552
Cats are demons that walk among us. They do not transfer back and forth but they exist in both realms simultaneously performing incomprehensible lower functions.

Well cats can 'sense' when some1 is really sick. In ancient Egypt, when some1 was about to die there was often cats around the person because they knew the person was sick, wich led the egyptians to think cats had powers over life and death

my cousin sad cats can see auras and sense energies, like he'll start focusing on an aura and then he looks at his cat and his cat will already be staring at it

one time i was focusing a lot of my energy (very weird to explain the technique/why i was doing that)and it felt like alot of it was leaving through my feet or something, and my cat walked in the room sat down and when i looked at it it was staring at my feet. after that my cat was staring at my feet and he seemed really weirded out by me.

they can also see like 3 times better in the dark or something

The thing about "common sense" is that it is almost always wrong. Pets being about to detect illness is one of those formerly paranormal topics that have now been confirmed and studied scientifically.

Cats and dogs really can detect cancer, seizures, and low blood sugar in humans.

Having a cat or dog also lowers blood pressure and can help elderly people live longer.

Both of these are extensively documented and no longer paranormal. Feel free to google for further resources beyond those I have provided.

I have been able to train a cat to use a toilet, to stop scratching, to stop spraying, and to stay off of tables. I have never been able to get one to understand pointing. Even with turkey meat they really fucking want. They will follow my hand or the light from a laser but never where I am pointing. It is like they just can't grasp that I am indicating something farther away.

As opposed to dogs that innately understand pointing.

a girl i knew in highschool was wiccan and kept a cat as a familiar
to be honest i think i underestimated what this ammounted to..
i had already worked with dreams a considerable ammount and done much out of body activity in this state mostly as associated with various american indian and asian traditions

i had offered her to use a room in my house for a while as i went out of town for a few days
when i got back her things were already in the room and her cat was there but no one else was around for a few days
the first night the cat came to work with me as i guess it did with her

i saw myself walking on all fours down the middle of my street and i was alert and aware of presences in hiding looking at me move
i noticed i was walking on all four on my knuckles hands and feet
about half way down the street the road gaveway to another image
like a great ropebridge there were several cables, some silver, some gold, and some other color i dont recall at the moment.. seems like there were just three types of band

X 2012-12-31 03:31:03 No.11713211
i rode on one type of band then the next then the last and it was as if the cat was jumping into the body of another cat to perch on the windowseal of the house of a person i was interested in at the time
the cat listened at the window as she spoke with her mother i could hear the words in tone and rythem and recognized them as english words but i could not grasp the meaning through the mind i was listening to them through
but the animal was listening for deeper meaning
like a base undertone of meaning
when she got to some comment about a truck either working or not the cat saw this as the statement of commitment of attachment that i was seeking
she has chosen the other guy and the cat was already jumping from the ledge of the window before teh sentence was complete
instead of hitting the ground. at the point the ground would have occured it was again the realm with the long bands and it was as if riding one of the gold ones a long distance back to the house

saw if for myself

second hand information of this type is only worth considerting when you are persuing the abiity or opportunity to experience it for yourself

if you persue clarity in your dreams they can teach you much about life

She lost her ears and will probably die in some weeks, but vets still can't understand how is she still alive: they diagnosed an advanced skin cancer that got somehow into her brain and destroyed part of her skull. Normally, a cat in her state would be dead.Yet, up until two weeks ago she was perfectly fine, except for an unrelated problem in her left eye.

My cat does this too. I stare back and eventually get creeped out at how hard he's staring at me so I break eye contact. At other times he'll look anywhere BUT my face like above my head, around my shoulders, behind me, etc...

Maybe the ancient egyptions domesticated cats. The same people who we know had alien contact because of the pyramids.

You're right. Cats are cute. This is Geoffroy's cat, Leopardus geoffroyi, it is native to south american jungles. It evolved completely isolated from humanity. So why is it fundamentally designed to appear cute to humans? Why would it independently evolve to seem cute to a species it had never encountered instead of looking like a mountain lion? It wouldn't thats why. Cats were placed here, perhaps created from alien dna itself. The Egyptions worshiped cats as sacred. Originally thought to be avatars of the god Baast. Because cats were engineered by a space-faring race as a hybrid. Cute cats were an attempt to communicate with humans.

one of my first lessons in out of body activity was delivered to me by a cat [this happened months prior to the event described in the other personal account posted in this thread]
i was about 20 and had taken in a local stray and would feed him and care for him as much as he would tollerare
but when he came to the house looking like he had mange i just simply quit opening the door to him
as a lay on the sofa in the front room napping i felt him jump onto my head and sink claws into the scalp then jumped away
i sat up from my nap and looked around
all windows and doors shut and cat was outside
(later found that his 'mange' was only car oil from passing under old cars; it washed out nicely and all was back to normal but i was made more aware of what is real by the event)

I've never been particularly superstitious, but I think cats know more than they're letting on. My old cat would always know when I was ill or upset and he'd come and be near me. It felt like more than just an animal gravitating to someone stationary; it was like he could sense it more than know it. He never stared in weird places or anything like that, but whenever one of our family was feeling down he'd know, and wherever he was, he'd come and be with them. I don't think they're supernatural, but I don't think they're as dumb as they look.

This has a lot more to do with the physical structure of their eyes and how they perceive depth than intelligence.

I won't weigh in on whether dogs or cats are smarter, but I guarantee you that cats are shitloads smarter than chickens. Chickens are fucking beyond retarded.

As for "paranormal" abilities of cats, I think they might be more EMF sensitive than most animals. Have nothing but anecdotal evidence to support that theory but there you go.
